Metal Earth Ford Trimotor Ford Trimotor was the world’s first luxury airliner when it took to the skies in the late 1920s. Nicknamed the “Tin Goose”, it featured an aluminium corrugated sheet-metal body and wings and was powered by three 420-hp Pratt & Whitney Wasp radial engines. Due to its rugged dependability Admiral Byrd chose it for his attempt to be the first person to fly over the South Pole, which he did on November 28, 1929.   SPECIFICATIONS: Number Of Sheets: 3 Sheets Difficulty: Moderate Assembled Size: 7.6″ L x 5.1″ W x 2.1″ H (19.31 L x 12.95 W x 5.34 H cm)   These amazingly detailed DIY models start as 4-inch square steel sheets and finish as amazing 3-D models with a beautiful shiny finish that reflects the light. Use the easy-to-follow instructions included with the sheet to pop out the pieces, bend the tabs, and connect them at the attachment points! Parts can be easily removed from the metal sheets using a pair of clippers. Tweezers make an ideal tool for bending or twisting the connection tabs   No tools are required to build any of our Metal Earth Models however assembly may be easier with the following tools:   Hobbies Straight and Curved Tweezers (HOB28)This 2 pack of tweezers are ideal for reaching into awkward areas, then picking, holding and placing very small parts and components with great accuracy. Sprue and Plastic Cutter (PPL6703) For helping to remove parts from the metal sprue. Ideal for making small cuts in plastic and metal sprues and other general hobby and craft applications. Metal Earth Solar Powered Spinner Display (TAS082400) A solar powered revolving acrylic platform. No batteries and requires very little light.
