BR, Class 50, Co-Co, 50042 ‘Triumph’ – Era 7

Triumph' was allocated to the Stoke Division in 1968, being re-numbered 50042 in 1973 under the TOPS classification system and shedding D442 as its first number. In 1974 No. 50042 was relocated to the Bristol Bath Road Shed throughout its later life and named 'Triumph' in 1978. The locomotive was eventually withdrawn at the end of 1990 having spent almost exactly 22 years in service.
