Airfix 1/76 Scale Cromwell IV Tank Model Kit

£11.99

At the beginning of the Second World War in Britain, the British had a strongly armored tank, which was very slow and unable to fight against most German tanks. As a result the British decided to begin work to develop a new tank, which was more mobile. Thus was born the Cromwell tank. Named after the English Civil War leader, Oliver Cromwell, the tank proved to be an adept and rugged fighting machine and served until the end of the War. The Cromwell was the first tank put into service by the British to combine high speed from a powerful and reliable engine (the Rolls-Royce Meteor), and reasonable armour. It managed to hold its own through better manoeuvrability, due to its relatively small size, and reliability in combat, something sorely lacking in German armour. The Cromwell tank was present on the battlefields of the Mediterranean and north-west of Europe, notably during the Battle of Normandy where it carried out its baptism of fire and during the operation Market-Garden in Holland, in September 1944.   This Airfix model tank kit will require  paints and glue to complete.  Dimensions 12.5 x 4.3 x 23.2 Scale 1:76 Skill 2 Number of Parts 91 Dimensions (mm) L88 x W39 Deluxe Materials Plastic Magic Cement 40ml (AD83) Plastic Magic Cement is a thin, liquid plastic cement with a 10-15 sec adjustment time & non-clog action. It is non-toxic, non-flammable, has minimal odour and almost zero emissions when compared to competitors.
