Playhouse Plan
Detailed step-by-step instructions Full-size traceable patterns (where needed) In-progress photos and exploded diagrams Complete materials lists and cutting schedules Remember building a playhouse when you were a kid? Whether you called it a “fort” or a “clubhouse” or a “hideout,” the plan came from your imagination, the tools came from your dad and the lumber came from wherever you found it. During the summer or two that it lasted, you filled that ramshackle playhouse with a lifetime of memories. Now you can help your own kids (or grandkids) create a home for some memories of their own. This do-it-yourself playhouse project makes it easy-even if your woodworking skills haven't improved with age. The project is built from redwood as pictured, but pine, cedar or even plywood also work well. Step-by-step instructions, full-size patterns for the angled cuts and modular construction make it simple enough for most do-it-yourselfers. The playhouse measures six feet square (including the porch) by about six feet tall at the peak of the roof.
